A 20-year-old Hudson man driving a sports car was killed in a single car crash early Monday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
According to troopers, Patrick John Lynch was driving a 2006 Nissan 350Z east on Cortez Boulevard near Shoal Line Boulevard around 3:45 a.m. The car traveled off the right edge of the roadway onto the grass shoulder, where it collided with a roadway sign and then a utility pole and a tree.
Lynch, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and died at the scene, troopers said.
