A Pinellas County user car dealership is being accused of placing GPS devices in cars.

The problem is, these are not "help you find your way" GPS devices but instead the type that can lead the repo man to the car if the buyer stops making payments.

According to partner newspaper the Tampa Bay Times, Bond Auto Sales on 34th St. N in St. Petersburg is facing three lawsuits alleging the dealership placed the devices in cars and did not disclose that information to buyers.

Officials say the problem lies not with the device being there but with not informing the buyer about it.

Two former employees and a customer are suing the dealership, according to the Times.

According to the suit, when customers successfully paid off their loans, they were invited back for a free "safety check." That's when employees would remove the secret devices, according to the suit.

In 2011, the Florida Attorney General filed suit against a Jacksonville dealer over similar allegations. That case is still in court.
