The Florida Supreme Court is reviewing a case about redrawing district lines that went into effect last year.

The League of Women Voters is arguing Wednesday that some top lawmakers, when they drew the redistricting maps that took effect in 2012, did so with the intention of holding onto their elective offices by ensuring there were enough like-minded voters in their district to continue to elect them.

If that is true, it might violate the intent of the Fair Districts amendment passed by voters in 2010.

If those lawmakers are forced to testify, it could reveal some details about what lawmakers knew when they drew those maps.
