A Pasco County man was arrested after deputies say he pretended to be a cop and pulled over his own neighbors.

Deputies said 47-year-old Yordis Aguero Fornaris was arrested on Thursday.

According to Bay News 9's partner paper the Tampa Bay Times, Fornaris was driving his car through Wesley Chapel when he allegedly tried stopping a car by using strobe lights.

When the driver realized Fornaris wasn't a cop, he started to leave.

Fornaris followed him into the neighborhood where they both live and was later arrested at his home.

Officials said he denied the whole thing.

He was charged with impersonating an officer and resisting arrest without violence. He was jailed in lieu of $5,150 bail.
