Bay area residents not fond of this past weekend's scorching temperatures may want to stay inside Monday.

Another extremely hot day is on tap with temperatures expected to approach the mid 90s again.

According to Bay News 9 Meteorologist Juli Marquez, rain chances are low today while the temperatures are soaring.

"It was really hot over the weekend," Marquez said. "Temperatures were in the mid 90s Sunday and we can expect another hot afternoon today.

"There is a chance of isolated thunderstorms but most of the area will remain dry.

Rain chances are 20 percent Monday and Tuesday but will rise later in the week.

Temperatures will go down slightly as the rain chances increase.
