The Coast Guard rescued two people Saturday after the 24-foot boat they were aboard capsized 10 miles south of Sanibel Island.

A member of Seatow contacted Coast Guard watchstanders at 11:42 a.m., reporting the 24-foot boat began taking on water after a crab pot line fouled their propeller.

A 29-foot Response Boat — Small II crew from Coast Guard Station Fort Myers Beach arrived on scene, found the vessel capsized and removed both people from the water.

They will be transported to Moss Marine in Fort Myers with no injuries or medical concerns.
