Detectives are asking for the public's help in finding a Clearwater woman who has not been seen for nearly a month.

Roberta Rene Cable, 41, was last heard from by her friends on Dec. 14, 2013.

Friends and family contacted the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department on December 27. Since then, investigators said they have worked every lead and interviewed people who know Cable but have still come up with nothing.

Detectives said Cable, who goes by "Rene," was supposed to begin a new job on Dec. 16 at the International House of Pancakes in Clearwater but she never showed up.

Investigators also said she almost always makes calls to her family on the holidays, but this year they never heard from her.

"From what we're being told she was excited about her new job and that she didn't show up that day,” said Cristen Rensel, public information officer for the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department. “Since then, it was reported that usually she calls family around the holidays. No one heard from her during Christmas. No one heard from her during New Years."

Cable's neighbors on Owen Drive were stunned to learn about her disappearance.

“We got a card from a detective stating that there was an investigation,” said Paul Shull, who lives across the street.

Neighbor Debbie Perry, who also lives across the street said she was surprised to see all the cars and sheriffs, because she had no idea.

“Hopefully they do find her for the sake of her family because I’m sure they’re very worried about her,” said Perry.

Deputies said Cable has had numerous run-ins with them in the past few years including drug, trespassing, and driving under the influence charges.

Deputies said her disappearance is suspicious but at this point, they said they still believe she is alive.

Cable is is 5' and weighs 115 pounds. She has hazel eyes and blonde hair, and she was last seen wearing a yellow tank top, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

Detectives said Cable has been entered as missing in FCIC/NCIC database.
