Two Pinellas County Sheriff's Office employees have resigned while being investigated.

According to partner newspaper the Tampa Bay Times, Cpl. Curtis Kindle was being investigated over allegations he had sex while on duty.

Also, Dep. Cory Hughes was the subject of two internal affairs investigations. One was over a domestic incident and the other was for using excessive force.

Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri said an investigation was ongoing despite prosecutors declining to file charges against Hughes, 37. This week, Hughes' attorney informed the sheriff his client would be resigning.

In the other case, Gualtieri said there was a substantial amount of evidence against Kindle, 40, who also decided to resign this week.
