A deal that fell through a few weeks ago could be back on.

The deal between Tampa Bay Rowdies owner Bill Edwards and St. Petersburg over control of Al Lang Stadium has been added to Thursday's city council meeting agenda.

A previous deal with Edwards to control the stadium for four years, where the Rowdies play, died in mid-September.

Edwards had pledged more than $1 million to take over the stadium on one condition - no more baseball at the venue. Edwards expressed surprise after the deal fell apart, saying he thought the agreement would come to fruition.

"My objective has been to provide the city with a great opportunity for soccer to grow and thrive here," Edwards said in a release. "I am disappointed with this turn of events. We thought we were close to a deal, but apparently not."
