There’s new information about what happened in the days following a quadruple murder in Pasco County.

Adam Matos is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend, her new boyfriend and her parents.

The State Attorney's Office just released a mountain of documents in the murder case, including;

  • A photo of the knife Matos is accused of holding to Megan Brown’s neck on August 28th. Matos is accused of the returning to the Hudson home the same day and killing Brown, her new boyfriend, her parents and then making purchases with the victim’s credit card.
  • A receipt showing a purchase of a shovel and a Play Station 4.
  • And several photos of the victims’ dogs. Detectives say Matos posted dog pictures on Craigslist to try and sell the dogs after the murder.

Documents showcase a conversation with a buyer about a potential sale.

“I have people coming to check out the pups. They will sell quickly.”
“Are you holding them for us or not?”
“We don’t want to make a two hour drive with the kids for nothing.”
“I’ll let you know in a few minutes because someone made an appointment to come out.”

Matos was also spotted on surveillance video at a Wells Fargo bank cashing a check for nearly $400.

There was also a statement of a neighbor who told detectives the day before the bodies were found, she saw a man hosing out the garage.

“After spraying he would very vigorously sweep the water out the door with a straw kitchen broom,” said Sharon Mann, a neighbor.

Matos showed up to pick up his last paycheck at Get Hooked Restaurant on August 29, telling people he was going to work on a fishing boat.

He also posted an ad on Craigslist saying he was available to work as a pool cleaner or locksmith.

The documents reveal several other items being posted for sale on Craigslist as well, including a Play Station 4, and a Chevy Blazer, which is one of the vehicles found at the victims' home.

The last time a neighbor saw Matos was on September 3, when they went together to a bar to get a few drinks.

No word on who was watching his 4-year-old son, Tristan, at the time.

After the bodies were discovered, deputies looked for Matos in the woods and followed a lot of false leads.

Eventually they tracked his cell phone and found him and the child at a hotel in Tampa.
