The Kass Circle neighborhood in Spring Hill is now a little brighter at night.
The neighborhood recently received new street lighting as part of a joint effort on the part of the Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative, the Hernando County Sheriff's Office and the Hernando County Board of Commissioners.
The team is installing a total of 34 new lights on existing poles on Canterbury Street, Mead Drive, Omaha Circle, Malone Avenue and other nearby streets.
Officials hope the new lighting will improve safety and security in the area.
