Crime scene tape still surrounded the apartment building Sunday afternoon where 42-year-old Jeffory Fuqua was found stabbed to death on Saturday.
According to deputies, a Fuqua was found dead outside of his apartment at 12 Wind River Lane in the Harbor Oaks Apartments.
Ruth and Connard Goldsmith live in Building Five at the complex where Fuqua lived.
Ruth Goldsmith said she heard a commotion around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
“I was a sleep and it woke me up," she said. "It even rattled the dishes on my shelf."
She said she saw a blue SUV outside the apartment building before deputies arrived. She said she saw a woman in abd out of the SUV several times.
"They were acting very erratic," she said.
The Sheriff's Office has yet to release a description of the suspect or suspects involved and are still investigating how Fuqua was killed just outside his own front door.
