Citrus County is trying to attract international tourists.
According to our partners at the Citrus County Chronicle, a German film crew spent Wednesday documenting their outdoor exploits in Crystal River.
The host of the show called Florida "heaven." He said the warm winters, great people and beautiful nature are exactly what Germans want in a vacation destiation.
The filming is part of an effort between Brand USA and Visit Citrus to show people outside of the United States that there's more to Florida than just theme parks.
