A former Pasco County teacher has pleaded guilty to online enticement of a minor.

David Wendel Thompson, 49, faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years, up to life, in federal prison and a potential life term of supervision. His sentencing hearing is set for January 20, 2015.

According to the plea agreement, between December 14, 2013, and March 14, 2014, Thompson used Facebook to attempt to persuade two girls in Belize, ages 13 and 15, to have sex with him.
