The African journalists whose trip to University of South Florida St. Petersburg was canceled due to Ebola concerns will visit the area after all.

According to partner newspaper the Tampa Bay Times, the 12 journalists' trip will be hosted by the Poynter Institute.

The journalists are from African countries not affected by Ebola.

World Partnerships, which handles logistics and makes travel arrangements for the program, asked Poynter to take over after USFSP could not accommodate them. The institute will host the journalists beginning Oct. 31.

Poynter Institute president Tim Franklin said the health and safety of the employees and the community was taken into consideration before any decisions were made.
