The captain of Aqua Quest International has just returned from a trip that not many thought he'd make again.

Captain Robert Mayne spent eight days firming up agreements to do business with officials in Honduras.

In May, Mayne and his crew were thrown in a Honduran jail after being accused of smuggling weapons. It took almost two months for the crew to be released.

But Wednesday, Captain Mayne said he had to go back and he was overwhelmed by the response.

"What I was overwhelmed by was all the warmth of the people that I met down there and the apologies," said Captain Mayne. "Everybody was apologetic."

Captain Mayne said he doesn't blame the country for what happened to his crew. He said it was just a couple of corrupt officials. An investigation is underway in Honduras.

Meanwhile, Captain Mayne and his crew are making plans to sail back to Honduras to start work by the Christmas holiday. He and his crew will train Hondurans to dredge mahogany logs from the river. They'll also help with road repairs, water purification and solar-powered wells.
