Members of Harvest United Methodist Church and their neighbors collected 5,009 pounds of food recently and donated it to All Faiths Food Bank and The Food Bank of Manatee.

At worship services last month, the people of Harvest brought their food drive offerings to the front of the church as an act of worship.

Harvest’s fight against hunger and support of area food banks continues next month with the 16th Annual Harvest Hustle 5K at Harvest in Lakewood Ranch on Nov. 22. Net proceeds from the run are donated to the food banks.
