President Bill Clinton spoke at an early vote rally in Tampa in support of Democratic candidate for governor Charlie Crist on Sunday.
Clinton talked at Cyrus Greene Park in Tampa about jobs, education, healthcare and moving Florida in a new direction.
"You've got two people who have both been governor who have dramatic differences," said Clinton. "One has succeeded by dividing the state, one from the other and promoting trickle-down economics. That's the other fellow. One wants to grow it together."
He called on voters to do their part in this year's general election.
"That's what I want you to do, I want you to walk out of here, and vote if you haven't," Clinton said. "I want you to remember in the next nine days, every single one of you will pass a hundred people that you know many of who will not vote if you don't remind them of the election and tell them about what we talked about here today."
The rally comes as early votes continue to pour in around Central and west-Central Florida.
Meanwhile, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie joined Governor Rick Scott on the "Get out the early vote" bus tour.
"You've seen it over and over again. There's two different types of folks who run for public office. There's the kind who run for public office to do something, and the kind who want to be something," Christie said. "This race in Florida is the best example of that contrast. Rick Scott ran for Governor because he wanted to do something to help the families of that were suffering."
Scott and Christie made two stops in South Florida.
