Firefighters rescued a man who was accidentally pinned beneath his car in Haines City.

Firefighters responded to the intersection of U.S. 17-92 N and Cypress at around 5:40 a.m. Saturday.

The man was trying to jump start his car, but he had accidentally left it in drive, which is how officials said he became pinned beneath his car.

Firefighters were able to use high-pressure airbags to free the man from beneath the car.

Once it was lifted and stabilized, the man was pulled to safety and taken by air to a local hospital. There is no word as to his condition.
