After a pleasantly cool morning, the Tampa Bay area is expected to enjoy another perfect fall afternoon.

According to Bay News 9 meteorologist Josh Linker, today will be "near perfect," with sunny skies, low humidity and highs in the low 80s.

But it was a tad chilly this morning. Low temperatures dropped into the mid 40s in Crystal River, Inverness, and Brooksville, and they were in the 50s throughout Pinellas, Hillsborough, Polk and Manatee counties.

The rest of today will be a lot like yesterday - although not a carbon copy, Linker said.

"We'll have a north to northeast component to the wind, and it will be lighter than yesterday," he said. "Because of that, a sea breeze will try to form, and as we go into the afternoon, it may be a touch cooler around the coast."

A warming trend, with a mild increase in humidity, will begin tomorrow. The Bay News 9 forecast calls for highs of 85 on Monday and 86 from Tuesday to Thursday before a cold front arrives late in the week.
