The woman who accused a former Lakeland police officer of forcing her to have sex with him while he was on duty testified in his trial Tuesday.

Officer Julio Pagan's arrest was one of several last year during a department-wide sex scandal involving employees and officers. Pagan is charged with two counts of armed sexual battery and one count of aggravated stalking.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys laid out their versions today of what happened between Pagan and the woman. Both sides agree that Pagan and the woman had sex, and that it happened after Pagan and another officer responded to a drunken fight the woman was having with her daughter.

However, the woman said the sex wasn't consensual. She testified Pagan returned to her home after taking her daughter to a friend's house to cool off from the fight. The woman said Pagan pressured her for sex, and she complied so he would leave.

"He kept bothering me for it," she testified. "He just kept pushing and pushing. Just wouldn't stop, you know, over and over and over."

When the prosecutor asked what she thought would have happened if she said no, the woman said, "I don't know. I don't know."

The woman also testified Pagan came back to pressure her for sex another time, and she got him to take her to the store instead.

"That's what it's always about," the woman said. "When he comes to the door it's about having sex and I get him away."

But the defense says the trip to the store was part of a plan to extort the former officer.

"Did you have any intention of doing anything other than getting Julio Pagan on video to show that you and he were together?" the defense attorney said.

The woman denied the accusation.

"It wasn't my intention to get him on video, as you keep repeating," she said. My intentions were to get him to stop coming to my house."

Lawyers expect the trial to wrap up by the end of the week.

Pagan remains in jail without bail.
