A Crystal River man died Wednesday afternoon after he was involved in a crash on U.S. 19 in Citrus County.
John Wesley Mitchell Jr., 59, was driving south on U.S. 19 near Mayo Drive shortly after noon when he suffered some kind of medical emergency, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Mitchell lost control of his 2004 Kia Sedona and crashed into a mailbox and a parked motorcycle, which was then propelled into a parked boat trailer, investigators said.
Mitchell died at the scene of the crash.
