A Spring Hill man is accused of dialing 911 for help so he could get a ride home from McDonald's.
Deputies said Rodni Brown told dispatchers while at the restaurant on Spring Hill Drive that his home located at 10443 Abbeville Street was on fire, but when crews showed up to the house, it was fine.
When dispatch called Brown back, deputies said he told them he knew the house wasn't on fire, but he needed a ride home.
Brown was placed under arrest and transported to the Hernando County Jail. His bond was set at $1,000.
