Allegiant Air is expanding its presence at St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport again, adding five new nonstop routes.
Beginning in February and March, Allegiant will offer flights to and from Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Richmond (Va.), Hagerstown (Md.) and Omaha (Neb.) to Pinellas County, the discount airline announced Wednesday.
“We are extremely pleased to announce this expansion and bring new convenient, low-cost vacation options to five new communities, as well as new destination options for those communities we currently serve,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant Travel Company senior vice president of planning. “Allegiant is dedicated to making vacations more affordable for more people, offering travelers the lowest possible base fare and the best deals on vacation packages.”
Promotional fares begin at $55 Richmond, $65 for Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Richmond and Hagerstown and $85 for Omaha. Tickets can be purchased immediately through Allegiant.com.
To celebrate, Allegiant is holding a contest to win free Allegiant flights for a year. Five winners and a companion of their choice will fly free from their local airport as frequently as once a month for a year. An entry form can be found at Allegiant.com/FreeFlights.
Since debuting at St. Petersburg-Clearwater in 2006, Allegiant has expanded its service to 26 airports.
