A 39-year-old Largo man was struck by a car and killed while crossing Ulmerton Road in the early morning hours this weekend.
The crash happened at 3:22 a.m. Saturday, and details were released Sunday by the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to troopers, Hilarino Gonzalez was walking across Ulmerton Road outside of a crosswalk about a mile west of Feather Sound when he stepped into the path of a 1996 Acura Integra. Gonzalez died at the scene.
The driver of the Acura, 38-year-old Bounphisit Champa of Largo, was not injured or charged.
