Cold temperatures will be with us again overnight into early Thursday morning.

"Most areas will drop into the upper 30s to low 40s, but there will be some spots near freezing in Citrus and Hernando County," said Bay News 9 Meteorologist Brian McClure.

Tuesday overnight temperatures in the Bay area plummeted into the low 40s - and 30s in some northern Bay area counties - prompting freeze warnings, wind chill advisories and the opening of cold weather shelters, all in mid-November.

But the cold weather won't last long.

"Thursday afternoon will be milder with highs back into the mid-60s," McClure said. "After that we see a significant warming trend into the weekend."
