A 25-year-old woman has been arrested for attempted murder in a shooting that occurred in unincorporated Clearwater Friday afternoon.

Two other suspects are sought.

Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the shooting on the 1700 block of South Washington Avenue at approximately 1:48 p.m.

According to deputies, Christina Nelson and two other unidentified suspects had a confrontation with two victims over money.

During the confrontation, deputies said Nelson was overheard telling the two other suspects to shoot at the victims.

Deputies said one of the unidentified suspects shot at the two victims and the three suspects fled the area.

Nelson was located a short time later at her home and was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder.

Nelson was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.

No one was injured during the shooting. Deputies said the shooting does not appear to be a random act of violence.
