Back by popular demand, the Pinellas County Tax Collector has announced express drop-off and drive-thru tax property tax payment service for selected days.
The service will be available Monday through Wednesday and again on Dec. 1.
Payers who use the express service will receive a 4 percent discount, which is allowed by Florida law. Only the Tax Collector's mid-county office will have drive-thru service available.
The Tax Collector mailed more than 400,000 property tax bills at the end of October and began accepting payments November 1. Each year, taxpayers receive a 4 percent discount for payments made by the end of November. Since the last day of November falls on a weekend this year, in-person and Internet payments will be accepted through the end of the day on Monday, December 1.
Payments received by mail must have a November postmark to receive a 4 percent discount.
After November, payments made by the following dates receive the respective discounts: December 31, 3 percent; January 31, 2 percent; and February 28, 1 percent. All payments must be made by March 31 to avoid becoming delinquent.
In addition to the express drop off and drive-thru service, payments are accepted online anytime at www.taxcollect.com, through the mail or at any of the Pinellas County Tax Collector offices.
Here are the drop-off locations for Nov. 24-26 and Dec. 1:
