A precautionary boil water notice advisory has been issued for customers of the Jasmine Lakes System in Pasco County.

Officials said the Florida Governmental Utility Authority experienced a temporary loss of water pressure for approximately 2,800 customers between 11 p.m. Wednesday and 2:30 a.m. Thursday.

Water pressure has since been restored, but officials are issuing a boil water notice advisory as a precaution. Customers of the system are encouraged to bring water used for consumption to a rolling boil for at least one minute, or to use bottled water.

Water samples have been sent for testing, and officials said they plan to rescind the advisory by Saturday afternoon.
