Another chilly night is ahead, this time bringing with it a frost advisory for Citrus County.

According to Bay News 9 Chief Meteorologist Mike Clay, temperatures are expected to drop to between 32 and 38 degrees.  As a result, frost is possible that may damage or kill cold-sensitive outdoor plants.

The frost advisory comes after a wind chill advisory was issued for late Thanksgiving night into early Friday morning. Wind chills were forecast to dip between 28 and 35 degrees.

The temperatures struggled to warm up today, even with full sunshine. Highs will be in the upper 50s to near 60.

"Tonight will be even cooler than this morning, since winds will be lighter," meterologist Diane Kacmarik said.

The warming trend will be underway by Saturday afternoon.

"But temperatures won’t climb back to normal until Sunday," said Kacmarik.

A small craft advisory also is in affect for this morning.

There was some frost reported this morning.

"A breeze kept that from being widespread. It will be more likely tonight with lighter winds," Kacmarik said.
