The City of Brooksville wants Christmas to take over.
City officials are asking residents and business owners to participate in the city's "Best Christmas Decorations of 2014" contest.
The members of the Brooksville Beautification Board will determine the winners in two respective categories: "Best Residential Christmas Display" and "Best Commercial Christmas Display."
The Brooksville Beautification Board will choose finalists on Dec. 16. The award winners will be revealed on Jan. 5 during the Brooksville City Council meeting at 7:00 p.m.
Winners will be presented with a plaque and a recognition gift.
