It’s 2,000 square feet of harsh reality that showcases the lives of kids living in poverty in developing countries.

Through headsets and iPods, adults and children can tour the Compassion Experience trailer outside Idlewild Baptist Church in Lutz to hear and feel the stories of children living in poverty.

The Compassion Experience is an effort put together by The Passion International Organization.

"It's so hard for people and especially families to understand how much of the world lives," said Compassion Experience Tour Manager, Cole Beck.

For Aiden Richardson, the tour was an eye opener.

“I was shocked by what I saw, I feel very bad for these children with no food or no money, nothing," said Richardson.

Thanks to the sponsoring families, some of thoe kids living in poverty are able to get the help and education they need.

Through the trailer tour, the organization is hoping to find more sponsors for the hundreds of poor children living in developing countries.

The event will go through Sunday.
