The morning fog has burned off, giving way to a mild day in the Bay area.

According to Bay News 9 meteorologist Josh Linker, afternoon temperatures are expected to rise into the upper 60s and low 70s in some areas.

A dense fog advisory early Tuesday blanketed the area, prompting the advisory and driver safety warnings.

A cold front will move through the Bay area tonight, bringing a chance of isolated showers and patchy fog.
