The Tampa Pride event scheduled for March is receiving financial help from the city.

The city of Tampa will provide $35,000 in services for the three-day festival and parade, set for March 26-28, according to partner newspaper the Tampa Bay Times.

Additional funding will come from sponsorships, entry fees and donations.

The Pride event, which will take place in Ybor City, is costing about $64,000 in city services, including police, emergency personnel and cleanup.
