The Citrus County Sheriff's Office is unveiling two new fire engines.

The sheriff's office held traditional ceremonies on Friday in which the old engine was pushed out of the garage, and the new engine was washed and then pushed into the bay.

The new engine was then blessed and placed into service for Citrus Sheriff Fire Rescue.

The first ceremony happened 9:30 a.m. at the Inverness Fire Station on Apopka Avenue. The second one happened at 11 a.m. at Station 3 in Homosassa.

The sheriff's office said this is the first time the agency has received new engines by using funding from the municipal service benefit unit.
