It’s a golfer’s dream - a 65,000-square foot, state-of-the-art driving range facility.

But it's way more than that.

Top Golf in Brandon officially opens Friday, and it’s not just for the pros.

Brad Spofford with Top Golf says you don’t have to worry about birdies or bogies.

"Fifty-five percent of our guests are not what you would call golfers," Spofford said. "Or what they would call golfers, but they come and have a great time."

Sitting on 14 acres, the three-story driving range facility also features a sports bar, restaurant and night club.

There are a quarter million golf balls at the facility and they all have a microchip inside. The balls are coded specifically for each player, recording accuracy and distance.

There are seven games to choose from, and players receive points based on which target they hit.

The Tampa Top Golf is the first in the state.

Close to 500 people were hired to open the entertainment complex.
