There will be clouds in the Bay area to send off 2014.

According to Bay News 9 meteorologist Josh Linker, conditions will be cloudy but drier for New Year's Eve, with temperatures expected in the mid-60s by Wednesday night.

There will be some light showers around the area early in the day but nothing like Tuesday's rain.

"There will be cloud cover today but there will be some sunshine also," Linker said. "But the outdoor plans will be fine. And it will be comfortable tonight."

Today's high temperatures will be in the low 70s. The partly cloudy conditions will continue into tonight.

"New Year’s Eve should be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy and mild," Linker said. "Temperatures will be around 64 at midnight. 2015 will get off to a warm start with temperatures expected in the upper 70s."
