Sixteen people were rescued Wednesday afternoon after becoming trapped on the Cheetah Hunt roller coaster at Busch Gardens in Tampa.

The ride was stuck at the crest of an approximately 50-foot rise in the track.

Firefighters removed the passengers using aerial ladder trucks. No injures were reported.

According to our meteorologists, there was heavy rain and wind in the area at the time. Firefighters said weather did not hamper rescue efforts.

At a length of 4,400 feet, the Cheetah Hunt is the park’s longest thrill ride attraction.
