Detectives are looking for a man they said robbed a Tampa bank Tuesday while wearing a "Scream"-style mask.

The man walked into the Bay Cities Bank on Dale Mabry Highway shortly after 10 a.m. and jumped over the teller's counter, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said the man demanded cash from one teller's drawer, then removed the cash himself. The man then tried unsuccessfully to open another teller's drawer before jumping back over the counter and running out of the bank.

The suspect then got into a midsize white sedan and fled the scene. Detectives said they don't know the make or model of the car because the car appeared to have white tape over the vehicle identifiers.

Deputies said he may have had a small bladed knife in his right hand at the time. He was wearing a dark blue hoodie, the mask over his face and white and blue gardening gloves.
