Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a couple accused of stealing $1,300 worth of merchandise from LensCrafters at Brandon Town Center Mall.

According to authorities, a man and a woman walked into the mall's LensCrafters store March 23 at 3:15 p.m. and began looking at glasses.

Officials said when an employee asked them if they needed assistance, the pair ran out of the store and into the mall.

Store employees then discovered the suspects stole four pairs of Ray Ban sunglasses and four pairs of Ray Ban framed glasses. The merchandise stolen is valued at $1,372.00.

The couple is described as a black man and woman. He was between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, about 200 pounds, with curly black hair. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, dark shorts, white ankle socks and black sneakers.

The woman was between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall, between 160 and 180 pounds, with curly black hair streaked with pink. She was last seen wearing a dark pink sweatshirt, purple shirt, pink pants and sandals.
