Three teenagers were arrested early Saturday morning in connection with an armed home invasion in Bradenton.

The home invasion happened in the 400 block of 22nd Avenue W shortly after 3 a.m.

According to the Bradenton Police Department, officers responded to the area to investigate a 911 call about a home invasion robbery. When officers arrived, they found the suspects, two of whom were armed, standing in the front yard of the house.

All three of the suspects were taken into custody without incident. No one was injured.

Investigators said they learned the suspects forced their way into the house and demanded money from the residents. When the victims told the suspects they didn't have any money, the suspects left.

Police said that someone who was in the house called 911 while the home invasion was taking place, which is how they were alerted to the situation.

The suspects have been identified as Johnny B. Edwards and Julius T. Lang, both 19, as well as a minor.  All three suspects are facing a home invasion robbery charge, while Edwards and the juvenile are facing additional charges of burglary.

Bay News 9 is not naming the juvenile in accordance with our crime guidelines, as it is not yet known if he will be charged as an adult.

Police said a fourth suspect is involved, but that the suspect fled before officers arrived.
