Thursday's morning fog burned off and the Bay area afternoon was dominated with clear skies and warm temperatures.

According to Bay News 9 Meteorologist Juli Marquez, conditions will be partly sunny today with a chance of isolated afternoon showers. High temperatures are in the low 80s.

"There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms away from the coast later today as the sea breeze moves inland," Marquez said. "There will be plenty of sunshine this afternoon."

Partly sunny skies and above normal temperatures are expected throughout the weekend.

Rain chances return early next week.
