Arrington, 33, was already behind bars when police charged him with the arson at the Animal Coalition of Tampa.

Police said Arrington went to the Animal Coalition of Tampa several times last week and caused disturbances. At one point, police said Arrington pushed one of the employees.

On Saturday, police said they responded to an intrusion alarm at the clinic. When they arrived, they found a fire in the office.  A dog had been released from the clinic, but three cats died in the fire, police said.

Detectives issued a warrant for Arrington's arrest. He was arrested Monday on burglary charges and taken into custody after police said someone who recognized him from social media called the police.

On Thursday, police said DNA from the scene came back, linking Arrington to the scene.  As a result, they are now charging him with aggravated animal cruelty, burglary and arson.

Police have not released possible motives for any of the incidents involving Arrington and the clinic
