It's a nationwide campaign to keep you safe.

"Click It or Ticket" is back and Hernando County deputies will be keeping a close eye on drivers.

The campaign runs from May 12 to May 26.  You may find that during this time, Hernando County deputies will be a little bit more active in enforcing safety belt enfractions.

Sheriff Al Nienhuis says with the campaign the department will renew its pledge to save lives around the clock.

Florida law requires all drivers, front seat passengers and children under the age of 18 to be restrained.  A violation could cost you $30, double that amount if a child is not restrained.
