A 55-year-old Palm Harbor man was killed Tuesday night when he lost control over his motorcycle on a winding Odessa road and crashed.
John Ellsworth Bishop was riding a 2006 Harley Davidson south on Patterson Road north of Glass Lake Drive around 6:30 p.m. He failed to negotiate a left curve, rode onto the shoulder, and the motorcycle slid and overturned, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.
Bishop died at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet, deputies said.
