People have been searching high and low, looking for hidden cash in St. Petersburg.

“His pictures give out little clues as to where he was standing, where he might have been,” said one woman searching at Puryear Park.

The “he” she’s referring to is the ever elusive founder of Hidden Cash St. Pete, a website aimed at getting residents to pay it forward.

People have been driving all around St. Petersburg looking for the clues and pictures the founder posts on Twitter.

The goal is to find the money in the envelope and use it to do something good in the community.

“This is a movement -- it’s not about us," said Hidden Cash St. Pete founder. "That’s why we chose to remain anonymous.”

More than 1,700 followers on Twitter are following the message.

Many of the people who find the prize post pictures giving back to the community, and the giving portion is what the founder says the hidden cash is all about.

The group says they plan to continue to hide cash in St. Petersburg as long as the community continues to pay it forward.
