A fourth grade teacher at Fuguitt Elementary has been arrested after police said nude photos and lewd text messages were found on a 17-year-old boy’s phone.
On Monday, police said Lesley Brown, 45, and the teen were seen entering a unisex restroom on the 2nd floor of the Highland Recreation Center.
Police said the two remained inside the restroom for approximately 10 minutes before police arrived.
Brown told police she goes to the gym three days a week and the 17 year old boy is her workout partner and spotter.
During questioning, police said both parties were adamant that nothing occurred and they locked the door because they heard voices and didn't want it to appear as if something was going on.
Brown was issued a trespass warning for the complex by recreation staff.
Later in the evening, police said they obtained cell phone images found on the teen’s cell phone containing nude pictures of Brown which also included lewd text communication.
Brown was arrested on two felony counts of transmission of material harmful to minors. She has been transported to the Pinellas County Jail.
Police said the relationship between Brown and the teen is not in any way affiliated with her position as a teacher nor did the two meet in an educational setting.
Brown was released late Tuesday on a $10,000 bond.

Pinellas County Schools is conducting an investigation into the allegations against Lesley R. Brown, a fourth-grade teacher at Fuguitt Elementary School. Ms. Brown has been employed by the Pinellas County School District for six years and has no prior discipline record. The alleged incident involving Ms. Brown did not occur on Pinellas County Schools property and did not involve one of her students. Details surrounding Ms. Brown’s arrest are being handled by the Largo Police Department.
