State officials launched a new website Monday aimed at giving parents and educators a look at the exam that will replace the FCAT.

The site offers training tests for the Florida Standards Assessments, which will replace the FCAT's math, reading and writing exams.  The new exam is set to debut next spring.

Officials say the FSA will be aligned to Florida's new Common Core academic standards, which were adopted by 45 states.  The exam is considered more rigorous and is supposed to better help students prepare for college.

To access the training tests, go to www.fsassessments.org and click on "Students and Parents."  Then select "Training Tests," and click on it again on the next page. After that, you will be able to sign in as a guest, select a grade level and a subject.
