Could Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon be on his way to Citrus County for a visit?

Citrus County officials hope so and are making a push to lure the comedian to the area during his upcoming visit to nearby central Florida.

According to partner newspaper the Citrus County Chronicle, the Citrus Convention and Visitors Bureau has started an online effort to attract Fallon.

Fallon is bringing his show to Orlando June 16 to 19. That news caught the eye of the bureau.

Also, actor and Citrus County native Miles Teller recently was on the show and told Fallon about Citrus County. That coincided with the tourism team trying to capitalize on the county’s national exposure from the Teller appearance.

They came up with a YouTube video and an all-out social media blitz, which have been sent to Tonight Show producers. One clip in the video has a faux Fallon kissing a manatee.

They are using #jimmyfallonvisitcitrus for Twitter, Facebook and other social media.
