A federal prison inmate will be arraigned today in the torture deaths of two Seminole Heights men who disappeared in 2003 after visiting a nightclub.

Scott Schweickert, 48, is already serving 40 years in federal prison for giving the "date rape" drug GHB to one of the victims. A Hillsborough County grand jury indicted him on two counts of first-degree murder in 2012, and prosecutors now want to put him on trial.

Schweickert and another man, Steven Lorenzo, are accused of luring Jason Galehouse and then Michael Wachholtz, both 26, to Lorenzo's Seminole Heights bungalow from a gay nightclub on Armenia Avenue.

Prosecutors say Schweickert and Lorenzo tortured Galehouse and killed him and that Wachholtz died after rough sex. They say Galehouse's body was dismembered and scattered in garbage bins across Tampa. Wachholtz's body was eventually found in his Jeep Cherokee.
